All the lights flashed bright for a lit second and then went back to the brightness that were just at. I have the high brightness set to 35. It wasn't a refresh as I have that on a rainbow one and I know what that looks like.

It just a happened before the last three lines as I downloaded the file to see what was going on.

Beginning of the log file, the critical part is at the end.

I forgot to add that a few minutes prior to this happening just the 5 legend LED's did the same thing. It was the first time I've seen them do that as well.

Ron, please describe for me what you saw happen again. I'm not sure I understand. Based on what I believe happened, it would seem that maybe the ambient sensor toggled briefly which would cause it to go bright then back to dim depending on the ambient light level at the time. Of course if you are not using an ambient sensor then this theory is invalid. So let me know. - Mark

Edit-I added a toggle to this routine that will log when the ambient sensor changes from bright to dim, or from dim to high so in the future it will be easier to diagnose this type of issue. So thanks for bringing this to our attention. I wouldn't have thought of it. To that end, if you'd like me to get you the file that I changed, let me know. But it will be included in the next updated image.

@markyharris I managed to capture it with a GoPro I ran to get it. All the lights at once got intensely bright and went back to normal I do have the light sensor installed and the ambient level didn't change at all. As I said the low brightness is 10 and the high is 35 so even if it got triggered it shouldn't have been that bright.

The light sensor is behind the board as I'm awaiting the frame to mount it properly.

I can wait for the change to get rolled out. Unless you want to see if its getting triggered.

Ron, you are right. That is not the light sensor doing that. In fact the colors are changing as well. My first suggestion would be to wiggle the wires while watching and see if movement will activate this. My guess is that there is an intermittent connection, most likely in either the ground or the signal wire to the LED's. The logfile info above is all normal. There isn't anything there that points to an issue with the software. Also, there are other reports of this from others who resolved it by redoing some of their wiring. Almost always it was the ground wire wasn't making the proper connection. Obviously this is a guess, but its worth a close look. - Mark

BTW: That's a great looking map!

@markyharris Ok, I'm waiting to solder up the real board board and connect it but I do have hot melt on all the wires to try and keep them  from having loose connections. As it was just sitting there, I was surprised to see the flash today.
